CRESPOGRAM REPORT

JUNE 22, 2012

GEE, WHAT A SURPRISE
SCHOOL BOARD AUDIT FINDS THAT MANNY ALONSO POCH WAS SCREWING THE POOCH
    DEAD BEAT
  TAX SCOFFLAW

You got to hand it to Manny Alonso Poch. When it comes to teaching the kiddies at his Charter School important life lessons, he believes in bypassing the textbooks and giving them real life examples to learn from.

In Thursday’s Miami Herald, the wiz kids, Kathleen McGrory and Scott Hiassen, reported that the Miami-Dade School Board has finally completed its long awaited audit of the operation of the Arts & MInds Academy and discovered that Poch had created “structural conflicts of interests.”

Just about all the items that the School Board claimed were problems were first revealed here on the Crespo-Gram Report last year, including Poch’s illegal tax exemption that he claimed on the parking lot next to his school, as well as the numerous no-bid contracts that Poch negotiated with himself to provide the school with meals and the creation of a separate “management company” to oversee the operation of the school.

Yes sir, that Manny Alonso Poch is sure one slick operator, and hopefully the kiddies at the school will appreciate just how hard Manny Alonso Poch worked to make sure that they learned more at the Arts & Minds Academy than to pass the FCAT.

Now if the School Board would start investigating the relationship between School Board member Raquel Regalado, TV attorney John Ruiz and her 3rd brother, Angel Zayon, then maybe, just maybe I’d quit thinking that they seem to be a day late and a dollar short when it comes to keeping track of the way they spend the taxpayer’s money.
