CRESPOGRAM REPORT

MARCH 24, 2014

CHIEFY PLANTS A “SNITCH” INSIDE THE STATE ATTORNEY’S OFFICE
ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF HOW THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS PLAN REALLY WORKS

Last year, Miami Police Chief Manny Orosa gave a sworn deposition as part of the ethics investigation into my claim that Miami City Commissioner Frank Carollo had called him up after he had been stopped by a Miami police officer on a routine traffic violation.

Parenthetically, earlier this month Carollo plead “No Contest” the the charge and agreed to play a $1000 fine, $1404.15 in investigative costs and receive a letter of instruction not to do it again.

At one point during the deposition Orosa was asked how did he think I had managed to get the information about the phone call, and this is how he responded.

Chiefy managed to piss off just about everyone in his department when he labeled the cops who provide me with information “snitches.”

As everyone who reads this blog knows all too well, back in the day, Orosa agreed to testify against his own undercover drug squad in the infamous Leonardo Mercardo murder case to avoid getting indicted himself.  It’s why a lot of his officers call him the Snitch In Chief.

So, since the Chief labeled his own officers “snitches” for providing me with information of wrong doing inside the police department, it’s only fair and appropriate that I similarly be able to label Miami Police Sgt. Sergio Diez a “snitch.”

Until a couple weeks ago, Diez was the Vice President of Fraternal Order of Police, and according to numerous sources he was widely considered the Chief’s “snitch” inside the FOP, keeping him informed of all that was going on, especially on what FOP President Javier Ortiz was up to.

A couple weeks ago Diez up and resigned as the FOP Vice President, and provided a murky reason for doing so.  The only thing that most folks in the department heard was that Diez was going to go to be assigned to Internal Affairs.

Well, the Crespogram Report is here to break the news that Diez’s was actually assigned to the State Attorney’s Public Corruption Task Force.  The IA assignment is just a front.

As you can appreciate, not everyone is happy about this.

It’s bad enough that even when there is evidence to prosecute cases against the corrupt politicians on the Family and Friends Plan, Katherine Fernandez Rundle and her do-boy Jose Arroyo do everything they can to stop that from happening, but now with Diez being the representative of the City of Miami Police Department on the State Attorney’s Public Corruption Task Force he’s going to be in a unique  position to continue being Manny Orosa’s inside “snitch.”

Orosa appointed Diez as both a reward for his past service, and to make sure that he had someone loyal to him on that Task Force.

What that means is that even before political corruptions cases get built, Diez will be in a position to let Chiefy know what’s up.

How sweet is that!?!

With the appointment of just one guy, the corrupt thugs inside the City of Miami doubled the protection benefits of being in the Family and Friends Plan.  Now they won’t have to depend on random leaks if a case against any of them is being built, they’ll be able to learn as soon as the info comes through the door.

That folks, is the deluxe version of the Family and Friends Plan, and even some folks inside the State Attorney’s office figure this has just gone too fucking far!

It’s Miami, Bitches!
