CRESPOGRAM REPORT

MAY 31, 2012

ONLY SOMEONE AS CORRUPT AS FERNANDEZ-RUNDLE
WOULD CLAIM THAT SHE WAS THE VICTIM OF A “LEGAL LOOPHOLE”
THE DINO COMES OUT OF CLOSET

Katherine Fernandez-Rundle is finally having to admit what was long known, but almost never talked about in genteel company, and that was that while she pretended to be a DINO: A Democrat In Name Only, she was in fact always a closet Republican, who made sure to take care of her Republican pals so that they would never turn on her by running a credible candidate against her.

If you look back at her reelection record, the Republican party - a party that never hesitated in running candidates in every other race that provided an opportunity to get a Republican into any office in Miami-Dade County -  has never run a candidate against her.

CORRECTION:  It turns out that Fernendaez-Rundle was challenged by Al Milan in 2000, and Leslie Rothenberg in 2004.  Both ran as Republicans.  I vaguely remembered Milan’s run, but Rothenberg’s campaign was so lackluster and unsupported by the Republican Party that she had to loan herself $330,000, compared to the $672,885, that  Fernendaz-Rundle raised.

I still believe that my major contention is still valid that the Republian Party has never attempted to seriously challenge Fernandez-Rundle.

Then, if you look at her record of prosecuting high-powered Republican politicians, developers and assorted crooked Republican wheeler-dealers, you’ll see that she went to great lengths not to go after them - her public corruption cases have always involved either Black politicians or small timers in the backwater parts of Miami-Dade County, many of them Democrats.

On the few occasions when she couldn’t avoid going after a big name Republican, it was always for bullshit offenses that never resulted in serious jail time.

The latest, and perhaps most egregious example of this behavior is her treatment of the scumbag Congressman David Rivera, who Fernandez-Rundle had the gall to claim with a straight face she was unable to prosecute because the statute-of-limitations had run out.

A number of the crimes that Rivera was alleged to have committed were independent of the campaign finance violations that Fernandez-Rundle claimed she was powerless to act on.

The latest news reported by the Miami Herald that $50,000 is still unaccounted for in the Rivera case should come as no surprise.  Fernandez-Rundle, just like she did in the Regalado case couldn’t wait to close out the books no matter how many loose ends still dangled around unresolved.

No one should ever forget her office’s treatment of His Ignorance, Tomas Regalado and his daughter that I detailed in April, or the emails that I published last year that showed how she attempted at the last moment to directly intervene of the dismissal of the charges against Michelle Spence-Jones, when Regalado and others worried that her return might upset their plans to get rid of Exposito.

Fernandez-Rundle always counted on the Republican party’s Absentee Ballot machine, run by politicians like Julio Robaina in Hialeah, and Tomas Regalado and his pals in the City of Miami, to overcome any Democratic challenge to her continued existence in office. That machine has more or less been nullified by some smart political maneuvering by Democratic challenger Rod Vereen.

This time, Katherine Fernandez-Rundle will have to depend on Democrats to put her back in office, and from the website message above, it’s obvious that she doesn’t have too much faith that they will.

Without the Republican machine’s ability to get out the vote on her behalf, she might finally be removed from office by these Democratic voters who she is now trying to neutralize by recruiting Republicans to become Democrats for a day.

With her back to the wall, this is but the first step in what could become one of the nastier campaigns that Miami has seen in recent memory.

So, if you think it’s time for Katherine Fernandez-Rundle to be voted out of office, and you haven’t registered as a Democratic voter for the primary, don’t wait!  DO IT TODAY!

It’s Miami, Bitches!
