PARKING METERS GOT TO GO
VERSAILLES RESTAURANT REGULARS PROTEST AGAINST NEW PARKING METERS ON SIDE STREET NEXT TO RESTAURANT

Last Friday, 20 regulars who hang out at the Versailles restaurant on SW 8th Street showed up in front of the Miami Parking Authority headquarters to protest what appears to be a plan to put parking meters on 35th Avenue between SW 7th and 8th Street, next to the restaurant.

While they denied that they were in any connected to the campaign of Tomas Regalado, the fact of the matter is that its hard to imagine them coming out in the heat to walk around with their signs if they didn’t think it was something that would benefit their pal Tomas.

In any event, here are some of the photos I took of the protest, and at least they deserve credit for coming out to protest.  Too many other folks in Miami who have grievances think that exercising their 1st Amendment Rights is déclassé.

It’s Miami, Bitches!
