CRESPOGRAM REPORT

AUGUST 12, 2013

Good Morning,

We now have over 1000 Signatures on our Petition!

I believe it would be a good idea to start letting our elected officials know we feel about this project. I am now asking that each and everyone of you send an email directly to the Mayor and Commissioners voicing our objections.

I have enclosed a sample letter below along with the email addresses of those who should be made aware of our opposition.

PLEASE send your letter this weekend and forward this on to anyone and everyone you know. Once again, Thank you for your support of this important issue.

Sincerely

Charles Corda

YOU CAN USE THE BELOW SAMPLE TO WRITE YOUR OWN LETTER

Dear Honorable Mayor Tomas Regalado and Esteemed Commissioners of the City of Miami;

This letter is to advise you that I, along with more than 1000 other concerned citizens, oppose the  lease of our Publicly owned Bayfront land  to private interests for commercial development.  I do not believe intensive development of this scenic and irreplaceable resource on the Coconut Grove Bay front is appropriate or in the best interests of the Citizens of the City of Miami.

I humbly ask that you reconsider your support for this ill-conceived project  by withdrawing your consent to the pending "Lease" with Grove Bay Investment Group, LLC.  for this development.

Thank you for your attention to my concerns.

                                    (Your name)

EFFORTS TO STOP THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE GROVE KEY MARINA/SCOTTY’S LANDING PROPERTY INTO ESSENTIALLY A 100,000 SQUARE FOOT SHOPPING MALL WITH RESTAURANTS HAS BEGUN ATTRACTING SUPPORTERS AND ATTENTION. THE EFFORT, SPEARHEADED BY LOCAL ARCHITECT CHARLES CORDA, PROMPTED AN ORGANIZING MEETING LAST WEEK, AND EFFORTS ARE UNDERWAY TO CHALLENGE THE REFERENDUM THAT WILL BE PRESENTED TO THE VOTERS IN NOVEMBER.

AS A LAST STOP EFFORT BEFORE THE REFERENDUM IS PUT ON THE BALLOT, ALL OF THOSE WHO ARE CONCERNED ABOUT THIS PROJECT AND THE IMPACT THAT IT WILL HAVE ARE BEING ASKED TO WRITE THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COMMISSIONERS IN AN EFFORT TO ASK THEM TO  HOLD AN EMERGENCY CITY COMMISSION MEETING TO WITHDRAW THIS PROPOSAL FROM THE NOVEMBER BALLOT.

THIS PROPOSED PROJECT THAT COMES WITH AN 80 YEAR LEASE, WARRANTS AND DESERVES A  LOT MORE PUBLIC PARTICIPATION THAN IT HAS RECEIVED.

READ CHARLES CORDA’S LETTER AND IF YOU AGREE, THEN TAKE A FEW MOMENTS AND SEND EMAILS TO THE MAYOR AND THE COMMISSIONERS, AND COPY THE NEWS MEDIA.
